A Pop Of Neon

Y’all…

It is HOT outside. No, really….it was 104 degrees yesterday. You see, I NEEDED to wear this skirt after getting it at the Lulu’s swap on Friday night. I knew exactly what I was going to wear it with too…..but it was a BAD idea to wear this outfit in August. The top…yeah, it’s a sweater. What would possess me to wear a sweater in Texas in August? I have no idea. Let me tell you, by the end of this shoot I had drops of sweat falling off of me. I also had a big cut on my hand:( Those steps there near the end…they didn’t like me.

Do you ever have that happen to you? You see a piece in the store and just KNOW you need it and exactly what you’re going to wear it with? This happens to me all the time…I guess it’s fitting that I have a fashion blog lol. Well, here is the outfit I thought up the moment I saw this skirt:)

I am SO excited for this weekend! There is so much going on:

1. It’s Wes and I’s one year anniversary
2. We will be taking a three day weekend
3. We will be in Dallas with my parents, both of my sisters, and ALL of my nieces and nephews
4. We will be celebrating my parents 30th anniversary

Wes and I will have been married for one whole year on Saturday. I cannot believe it has already been that long, it seems like just yesterday. I will be putting up some of our wedding photos with my post tomorrow in honor of our anniversary…so, if you haven’t seen them be sure to stop by! I also get to see my big sister, niece, and nephew that are coming in from Michigan to visit for my parents 30th anniversary party! On Saturday we will be going out to a fancy dinner in Dallas to celebrate their long happy marriage. I hope know that Wes and I can learn so much from them and that our relationship will be just as long and wonderful!

PS: I learned so much at TxSC…I even learned how to take pictures of myself and make them look good. Case and point. Yeah, these were self photography at it’s best!
